“How to Get in Shape for Life!”

 

Today I am going to talk to you about something that’s near and dear to my heart, "How to Get in Shape for life". It seems to me that so many of the Baby Boomers I know and do business with have given up on life.

So many are overweight, over medicated, stiff, can hardly walk and have just plain given up on life. I have had 3 close friends in the last couple of years who have had heart attacks, a couple who have had strokes, and I can’t begin to count the friends who are on medication for high blood pressure, along with all kinds of other stuff.

I think one of the big reasons for this is the food we get at the grocery store , is not all that good for us, and its designed for us to go by taste and not for nutrition. I have read that about 90% of our food from the grocery stores is either high fat,  or high sugar. Someone said we might be better off to eat the box the food came in and throw the food away.

So what can we do? 1, We can do nothing, and probably die from a heart attack, cancer or a stroke. 2. Develop Alzheimer’s, Dementia, or anyother debilitating diseases and spend the rest of our lives in a nursing home. or 3. Make a decision to take charge of our life, exercise, lose weight if needed, and make our life a joy to live.

In the next couple of weeks we are going to start a contest for people to get in shape and stay in shape. I’ll let you know when it gets closer.
